We just got back from Otakon 2024, and what a great time it was! We had around 200 people in attendance (way more than in the below photo, which I snapped while the room was still filling up), saw lots of friends (old and new) and we got to announce some really cool stuff!
Among them was our newest licenses, including the incredible 2010 movie/web series Time of Eve, to be released for the first time in a single, complete volume with all existing versions of the show (including the dub of the feature)! It comes out in December.
In January, we'll be releasing the classic AnimEigo title Bubblegum Crash, in HD for the first time ever. Unfortunately 35mm elements could only be located for episode 2 (and it was a bit damaged), so most of the show will be an upscale, using the incredible AstroRes process.
Lastly, we teased our next license, the gorgeous and bittersweet shoujo series Full Moon o Sagashite, which we will be releasing under its official English title, "Looking for the Full Moon" some time in 2025.
We have a lot in store for you, including more remasters, more new licenses, and even a subscription tier for our hardest of hardcore fans.
Also, you'll notice that we've moved everything from AnimEigo and Whole Grain Pictures over to MediaOCD.com, as juggling three separate websites proved to be more of a hinderance than a help. Now we'll be able to share resources between all of our product lines and keep all of our customers on the same page.
Also, since the coupon forms for upgrading customers were somewhat hidden before, we have added links to the individual store pages. You can upgrade Time of Eve too!
