Frequently Asked Questions

Before you write to us, make sure you check here first! We'll add more questions as they come up.

Store Questions

Stuff having to do with orders placed here, fulfillment, shipping and returns.

What's your return policy?

If it's unopened, and it's within 30 days, we'll take it back for a refund. E-mail help@mediaocd.com for more info. Shipping costs cannot be refunded.

Open defective or damaged items can be returned for same-item exchange only. The 30 day limit applies.

Why can't you ship certain items to certain countries?

We are the actual licensed publisher for most of the items we carry. As such, we are bound by our contracts to only sell within the countries covered under our agreement with the show's producer. Sorry. You can try to find it at another store that might ship internationally.

Where do you ship from?

Our warehousing and fulfillment is handled by Fulfyld, Inc. in Madison, Alabama. However, the stuff we manufacture is from all over. (Most are made in the USA.)

Do you offer split shipments?

Unfortunately this is not currently possible with our software – one order will go out in a single shipment, and will be held until all items arrive in stock.

Why can't I use more than one coupon code per order? Can you combine orders?

Unfortunately this is not currently possible with our software. Hopefully this feature is added at some point.

Publishing Questions

Stuff having to do with Blu-rays, Streaming, and rights

How do you choose what to license? Can I offer a suggestion?

We make a lot of very hard decisions about this behind-the-scenes, in close conversation with rights holders, based on what's available, what we can afford, and what we think will sell. Thank you for your thoughts, but honestly, we already have a long list of things we're trying to get.

Do you do theatrical screenings? Can I show one of your titles at an event?

In some cases, we can authorize paid theatrical screenings. Fill out the contact form on the front page.

If you're a convention or other gathering that isn't charging admission for the screening separately, you have a pretty good chance. Shoot us a message and tell us all about it.

What software do you use?

We use a ton! For Blu-ray and UHD authoring, we use Scenarist, which is the only choice for professional quality work. For general video and graphics work, we use Adobe Creative Cloud. DaVinci Resolve is used for color correction and some restoration, but heavy film restoration is done with Digital Vision Phoenix. It's all very complicated.

Can I use your show in a YouTube video/post it on my channel?

We can't grant permission for this easily, due to how licenses work. We would have to get clearance from the licensor, they'd have to go over the suggested use in extreme detail, and there would have to be money involved. Posting an entire episode, or a "condensed" version that makes it pointless to watch the whole thing, is generally a bad idea and may get taken down.
