The sequel to the smash hit Bubblegum Crisis!

Times are a-changing in MegaTokyo. Boomers are no longer seen as a scourge, but rather, the city's saviors--heralds of a new, prosperous era. With the Knight Sabers' mission supposedly accomplished, their leader, Sylia, suddenly disappears, leaving the team to go their separate ways. In the meantime, a dangerous cabal of power-suited mercenaries start hunting for a revolutionary AI that's about to change the world. Keenly aware of the consequences, Sylia gets the band back together. Equipped with even bigger and badder hard suits, the Knight Sabers now find themselves entangled in a conflict seemingly orchestrated by a voice from the past.

Bubblegum Crash 1 - Illegal Army

A paramilitary group commits a number of daring thefts, but it's all a cover for their real objective - a new AI program that promises to revolutionize Boomer design.

Bubblegum Crash 2 - Geo Climbers

Only two men survive from the original team who helped Professor Stingray create the Boomer technology. Now one of them is dead, and his breakthrough prototype, ADAMA, is being framed for the crime!

Bubblegum Crash 3 - Melt Down

The boomers are rioting, and a nuclear boring machine is heading straight towards MegaTokyo's fusion reactor! Only the Knight Sabers can avert the apocalypse, and in order to do it, they'll have to defeat an old enemy - not once, but three and a half times!

A Restoration That Would've Been Impossible...

Like many OVAs of the era, Bubblegum Crash! was shot on film, but then assembled on video. The film elements were then discarded. MediaOCD, with the assistance of AstroRes, was able to harness the power of AI to breathe new life into the original masters, and make them look gorgeous in high-definition.

However, by a stroke of luck, some colleagues were able to find a 35mm print of Episode 2 on an auction site. It was badly damaged, with mold, sloppy splices, and an edit that didn't even synchronize with the video master (and its audio tracks)! Utilizing the latest in restoration techniques, we were able to restore the lost and damaged elements to a reasonable degree. MediaOCD is proud to present Bubblegum Crash! in a shockingly clear new edition.
