Shinji Aramaki
If there’s a series that features a cool transforming robot motorcycle, it’s safe to assume that Shinji Aramaki designed it. A former member of Artmic, Aramaki is famous among mecha enthusiasts for designing Megazone 23’s Garland, Genesis Climber MOSPEADA’s Ride Armors, and Bubblegum Crisis’s Motoslaves.
Outside of his extensive mechanical design career, Aramaki is a critical figure in the evolution of CG anime. As such, he’s directed titles such as Appleseed (2004), Harlock: Space Pirate, and ULTRAMAN (2019), merging his design and directional talents to push the medium further. As of late, Aramaki has helmed Blade Runner: Black Lotus and Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.
